We offer tailor-made solutions for French companies looking to expand globally, as well as for North American companies to discover the many reasons to choose France when planning their global expansion. Business France also runs the V.I.E. program, an HR solution designed to source young talent from Europe. With 1,420 employees worldwide, the Agency is present in 55 countries and offers its services in over 100 markets.

In North America, Business France opened offices in strategic locations, next to the most vibrant markets. Our network of over 100 employees operates from five central offices (New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, and Montréal) and four outposts (Los Angeles, Boston, Detroit, and Houston). Working closely together, we organize promotional events, accelerators, and French pavilions, or directly work with entrepreneurs in the most promising markets. Join us today!
Your missions
Individual support for the French companies
- Prospect potential American/Canadian partners according to the needs of French companies: target, prospect, and organize business meetings.
- Advise French companies on their sales and marketing strategies in the US/Canada and train them in North American business culture.
- Research and identify North American business partners for French exporters.
- Organize, prepare, and participate in business meetings: direct interaction with strategic decision-makers and senior executives.
- Contribute to market studies (value proposition, segmentation, competitive analysis...) and carry out regular information monitoring.
Collective support for the French companies
- Participate in the organization of trade missions for French companies to the USA/Canada at trade shows and business conventions.
- Recruit French companies to participate in programs organized by Business France, and identify companies with export potential, to offer personalized support in North America.
Network/market intelligence
- Identify opportunities and trends in the US/Canadian market for French companies in the Tech sector (AI, Cyber, SaaS, Telco, and Quantum computing, etc.)
- Participate in networking events, tech sector conferences and trade shows, to present French export solutions.
- Develop a solid network of North American professionals and decision-makers within the sector.
- Manage and mobilize a portfolio of local North American contacts.
Qualifications
- Professional experience in USA or in France
- Knowledge of the Deep Tech sector (2 years of experience required)
- Dual English/French fluency required (written and spoken).
- BA/BS preferably with relevant majors: business and/or marketing
- Proficiency with all MS Office applications
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building capabilities
- Strategic analysis skills
- Self-starter, dynamic, comfortable working in a team
- Excellent communication skills (spoken, written)
- Ability to expand & manage a network of contacts through networking events, conferences
- Proactive approach
- Sales skills (phone prospection, 1-on-1 meetings, data management) a plus
