Position Overview

SimplePractice is hiring a Data Analyst, Product with 3 - 5 years of experience. Location: United States - Santa Monica, CA. Schedule: Hybrid. The role involves driving key data analysis initiatives, maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and utilizing SQL and visualization tools to generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of data analysis activities while managing the relationship of the data team with all customers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the business data and analytical needs, translate the requirements into data asks, and convert them into actionable information using SQL and various query and visualization tools.
• Take ownership and champion data topics with the flexibility and interpersonal skills to interact across the business.
• Manage a project or team where required.
• Develop data analytics competencies within the team and enhance overall analytics capability.
• Analyze complex data sets in depth to uncover issues, trends, and patterns.
• Make independent, educated judgments and recommendations regarding appropriate solutions.
• Monitor the daily running of production data visualization to ensure consistency, correctness, and ease of use.
• Manage data-related interventions through to resolution.
• Create and maintain various data products, including dashboards, reports, ad hoc analyses, spreadsheets, and graphs using visualization tools.
• Assist in team planning and support Change Management initiatives for business requests and projects.

Required Qualifications

• Experience Required: 4 years of experience performing data analysis and building business intelligence dashboards.
• Education: Master's Degree in Business Analytics or a closely related field.
• Qualifications: Experience with SQL, statistical/window functions, and complex data types.
• Responsibilities: Proven experience leading teams, including organizing analytics user groups, obtaining strategic and detailed analytics requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Qualifications: Proficiency in data analysis skills such as dimensional modeling, data modeling, relational technology, working with one or more database engines (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL), using visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, or Periscope), Agile project management (SCRUM or Kanban), ETL, and data visualization.
