Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer III to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This position requires a TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph and is critical for integrating security into system designs while ensuring compliance and protection of network infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform security engineering, develop security architecture artifacts, oversee penetration testing and security exercises, perform computer OS forensic analysis, support network security, and automate security compliance for systems
- Engineer security into system design documentation, perform cyber hunt activities, and configure SIEM and Splunk tools
- Engineer systems and solutions encompassing software, hardware, and communications to meet present and future cross-functional requirements with an emphasis on security
- Identify, assess, and present options for meeting functional and technical requirements including hardware and software updates or upgrades
- Deploy and operate cybersecurity tools
- Lead penetration testing and security exercises
- Secure network systems and participate in vulnerability scans using Tenable Nessus
- Utilize tools such as Zeek and ELSA for network security monitoring
- Implement solutions to automate security compliance of systems
- Collect and review security analytic measures and oversee security incident detection activities
- Develop high level system design diagrams
- Ensure that the operating environment is security compliant
- Evaluate IT enclave systems, assess risk posture and system security findings, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Analyze and resolve systematic workflow and organizational issues by devising appropriate corrective actions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field; an additional 4 years of experience may substitute for a degree
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant experience beyond the education level
- Must possess current DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II certification
- Experience in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment is desired
- Current active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
