Bowman has an opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Tulsa, OK. Key Responsibilities
- Perform all levels of mechanical design including development of construction documents using standard engineering techniques reviewed by senior staff.
- Design appropriate mechanical systems in accordance with current code requirements and sound engineering principles.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and occasionally clients.
- Conduct field observations to accurately document existing conditions.
- Organize and prioritize multiple tasks to complete design sequentially and efficiently.
- Produce project construction documents meeting milestone schedules within predetermined budgets.
- Assist in developing construction cost estimates for mechanical systems.
- Attend coordination and design meetings and assist with project specifications and budget estimates.
- Review project-related construction administrative items (shop drawings, RFIs, change order proposals) when directed.
- Work within established project budgets.
- Maintain and develop a working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and related design software.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, commitment to quality, and promote the reputation of the company through excellence in work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and familiarity with CADWorx and/or Plant 3D modeling software.
