Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security, is seeking a Guidance Navigation and Controls Engineer (Entry Level) to support the Engineering team in El Segundo, CA. In this role, you will help deliver the guidance, navigation, and controls subsystem for satellite programs through design, analysis, software development, and integration support. This is a 100% onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the GNC subsystem (hardware, software, and analysis) for a satellite program.
- Perform subsystem design, analysis, software development, and component selection to meet program requirements.
- Support the development of GNC products and interface with other satellite subsystems, mission/systems engineering, and program management.
- Collaborate with a team of GNC engineers to decompose tasks and ensure overall system-level performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Strong fundamentals in guidance, navigation, and controls with spacecraft system-level knowledge.
- Proven ability to perform complex analyses of kinematics, dynamics, and control systems using analytical and self-developed tools.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently.
- Willingness and ability to support integration, test, and mission operations during off-nominal hours when required.
- Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements by being a Requirements: US Person (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) eligible for a U.S. Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with spacecraft GNC design, analysis, and testing.
- Familiarity with spacecraft GNC sensors and actuators, such as star trackers and rate/acceleration measurement devices.
- System-level software integration and test experience.
- Experience with satellite integration, test, and on-orbit operations.
- Strong understanding of classical and modern control theory, system-level trade studies, and architecture development.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is a plus.

- Salary: Level 1: $74,800 - $110,000; Level 2: $88,400 - $130,000
- Schedule: 1st shift
