Security Systems Technician

Position Overview

Performs or assists with installation, programming and checkout of systems including security, access control, CCTV, audio and mass notification systems. Compensation: USD $25.00/Yr. - USD $32.00/Yr.

Key Responsibilities

• Program and install Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings
• Provide leadership on small projects
• Act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s)
• Perform work with complete working knowledge of the systems
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Maintain project documentation and create red-lined field drawings according to company policies
• Adhere to all Company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency
• 3-5 years of experience in security installation (note: some listings indicate 2-4 years experience)
• Knowledge of or ability to learn Company/industry codes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to interpret blueprints and other service documents
• Strong critical thinking skills and effective reading, writing, and oral presentation abilities
• Physical capability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and to lift/move weights as required (up to 50-75 pounds)
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards
