Job Description
Position Overview
The Global Brand Marketing Specialist, Sportswear supports the Sr. Director, Global Brand Marketing, Sportswear and cross‐functional teams to develop and execute innovative marketing initiatives that align with category strategy and vision. This role is highly consumer-centric, requiring strategic thinking, effective communication, and a passion for empowering athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the category by developing marketing plans and strategy presentations, compiling data and insights, and building decks in PowerPoint or Keynote.
- Be an expert on the product range and communicate seasonal stories to cross-functional partners.
- Coordinate, schedule, create agendas, and document recaps for cross-functional meetings.
- Manage the seasonal product promotional and seeding order process, including budget tracking.
- Assist with photo shoot planning and execution by working closely with the creative team and merchandising.
- Lead research initiatives on consumer, sport, culture, fashion, and social media trends to keep campaigns consumer-centric.
- Collaborate with various departments (product, merchandising, PR, consumer engagement, retail, ecomm, and regional teams) to deliver 360° marketing plans.
- Partner with the social media team to activate engaging campaigns unique to Under Armour.
- Align with regional marketing teams in APAC/EMEA/Americas to execute seasonal priorities and support long-term strategic goals.
- Maintain the business unit calendar and coordinate events, ensuring hero products are accurately represented in all creative shoots.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience OR Master’s degree without experience OR typically 6 years of relevant experience.
- A results-oriented self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proven experience in managing multiple tasks to meet challenging deadlines.
- Strong presentation skills, with proficiency in virtual and in-person settings.
- 2-5 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, Word) and Mac-based systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of emerging social media platforms and influencer marketing is a plus.
- Experience in the retail, footwear, and apparel industry or related sports/fitness sectors is a plus.
Compensation
Base Compensation: $67,023.00 - $92,156.90 USD
Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
