Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab as the first pediatric skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY is looking for compassionate, certified, and highly engaged Nursing Attendants to assist with caring for children with healthcare needs. This job is responsible for for Activities of Daily Living (ADL) i.e providing hygiene, assist with feeding, fixing/organizing clothing & personal belonging, playing with children, assisting with family needs & visitation, transporting to other areas of the facility and other healthcare activities on a daily basis i.e. suctioning, tracheoatomy care, etc. Night shift available.

Minimum qualifications and Skills:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • State certification as a Nursing attendant is a must
  • Completion of nursing attendant program is a must
  • Two years experience working with pediatric population is preferred
  • Computer literacy, Math skills, good communication skills are a must
  • Ability to handle, lift, pull, and push heavy objects is a must
  • Knowledged of infection prevention is a must
  • Knowledge of child abuse prevention is a must
  • Work rotation on weekends and holidays is a must

Compensation:

Competitive compensation ranges from $17-$22 per hour.
