Position Overview
Andrew Residence is currently hiring a full-time Day Nurse Manager (RN) for our residential mental health treatment and nursing facility. In this role, you will join a dynamic, cross-functional team of mental health professionals—including clinical social workers, nurses, and therapeutic recreation specialists—to make a positive impact on the lives of those living with mental illness. Enjoy an established and predictable schedule (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with a rotation of working every 3rd weekend) dedicated to quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision to day nursing operations and nursing staff.
- Participate in the interviewing and selection process of new staff.
- Direct orientation for new nursing staff to ensure adequate training.
- Meet regularly to supervise and evaluate day nursing performance, providing ongoing coaching and guidance.
- Collaborate with Floor Program Directors and other supervisors to address and meet nursing needs.
- Engage as a member of Nursing Leadership alongside the Director of Nursing Services, Evening Nurse Manager, Nursing Services Coordinator, and Infection Preventionist.
- Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance programs by reviewing and updating nursing care, medication, and program policies and procedures.
- Monitor and audit medication rooms to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Serve as a member of Clinical Leadership, participating in projects and policy updates to maintain quality healthcare for residents.
- Provide nursing floor or Charge Nurse coverage as necessary and participate in the Nursing Leadership on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nursing license in good standing (within state of MN).
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in Long Term Care or Mental Health.
- Proficiency with computer software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, EHR).
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team framework with effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous supervisory experience in nursing.

- Compensation: Full-time Nurse Managers start at $91,000 annually; final salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
