Biochemist- Purification PM Shift (2:30pm-11pm)

BioLegend is seeking a self-motivated Biochemist with production experience in a fast-moving environment to join our Purification team. Reporting to a team lead, you will ensure the highest quality of our finalized antibody products through tasks such as column chromatography, troubleshooting, and continuous methodology improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records
• Execute purification of mono, polyclonal, and recombinant antibodies
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment such as UV monitors and AKTA Pure systems
• Prepare buffers and dilutions
• Perform dialysis, centrifugation, and column chromatography
• Carry out basic math calculations to determine antibody amounts and concentrations
• Conduct Endotoxin tests
• Advance multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate within a team environment
• Assist with troubleshooting purifications and other assigned responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related area; Biotech certification or equivalent work experience (minimum 2 years in biotech production or manufacturing)
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well in group settings
• Proficient in basic computer operations including MS Office, Outlook, and other software

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, or related area with less than 1 year of experience in biotech product development or manufacturing
• Experience using UV Monitors
• Experience with conjugated antibodies
• Exposure to manufacturing in an ISO/GMP regulated environment
