Job Description
Position Overview
As a Caregiver with Care for Business at Care.com, you will provide exceptional childcare to multiple families by creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Your profile is automatically matched to families based on your experience, location, and availability, while you benefit from the support of a full-service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct introductory calls with each family you’re booked with
- Care for children in their homes during a typical 8-hour day
- Follow the schedule and rules established by parents
- Perform household duties related to childcare (e.g., cleaning up after meals, dishes, and activities)
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Minimum of 1 weekday availability (at least 8 consecutive hours between 6am–8pm)
- Relevant childcare experience
- Reliable transportation with the ability to travel up to 15 miles from your home
- Certification in Adult, Infant, and Pediatric CPR/First Aid (with reimbursement provided)
- Familiarity with app-based products and electronic devices
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, frequently bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable with exposure to mildly sick children
