Project Manager•Commercial Solar

Buffalo, NY | In-Person

Salary: $85,000•105,000

Buffalo Solar is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial rooftop solar projects executed by subcontractors. This role owns project delivery from handoff through closeout and serves as the primary decision-maker for execution-related issues. This is a hands-on, in-person role requiring strong judgment, clear communication, and comfort managing subcontractors, schedules, and field issues.

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, schedule, and budget
• Direct Installation Supervisors and subcontractors
• Resolve field, material, and schedule issues
• Oversee procurement sequencing and substitutions
• Manage change orders and execution risks
• Serve as primary delivery contact for clients
• Coordinate inspections, commissioning support, and closeout
• Track project performance and billing milestones

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial construction or solar projects
• Strong subcontractor coordination experience
• Comfortable making decisions under pressure
• Clear communicator with field and client experience
• Willing to work in person and visit job sites
