Entry Level Plumbing Designer / Engineer

Position Overview

RWB is seeking a Plumbing Designer to join our growing team! At RWB Consulting Engineers, we thrive on designing solutions for challenging problems. In this full-time role, you’ll work under experienced leaders and gain valuable project experience alongside motivated engineers. Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Full-Time
Experience Required: 0-5 years

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Prepare plumbing production drawings from beginning to end, including redline drafting, specification editing, submittal review, and site inspections.
• Design plumbing systems for a variety of project types such as education facilities, municipal buildings, worship centers, office buildings, medical centers, data centers, warehouses, long-term care facilities, food service facilities, and retail spaces.
• Collaborate with a design team of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical engineers and interact with clients and consultants during meetings.

Required Qualifications

• 0-5 years of experience designing plumbing systems for commercial buildings, including building plumbing and fire protection systems (equipment sizing/selection, pipe routing, and sizing).
• Basic knowledge of plumbing design.
• Basic understanding of fire protection systems and related devices, including wet, dry, pre-action, and standpipe systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Familiarity with industry standard software, such as Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Involvement with industry groups such as the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE).
