Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Data Manager, Data Analytics to lead the development, governance, and delivery of high-quality data and insights across the organization. Bridging technical expertise with business strategy, this role ensures data is accurate, accessible, and actionable for decision-makers. The ideal candidate is both a strong people manager and a hands-on analytics leader with experience building scalable data processes and translating complex data into meaningful insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of data analysts and analytics engineers, fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytical models.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Establish and enforce data governance, quality standards, and best practices.
- Manage analytics workflows, prioritization, and project delivery timelines.
- Ensure consistent definitions, metrics, and documentation across data assets.
- Support strategic initiatives with advanced analysis, trends, and insights.
- Evaluate and implement tools, technologies, and processes to improve analytics capabilities.
- Lead and mentor Data and Benchmark Analysts utilizing intelligent automation utilities.
- Interpret data formulas, calculations, and troubleshoot variances.
- Collaborate enterprise-wide to ensure KPIs, risk indicators, and operational strategies are met.
- Provide data-driven updates to leadership regarding customer service results and recommendations.
- Work with internal stakeholders and consultants to enhance risk models for assessing improvement initiatives and project prioritization.
- Assist the Director in developing and managing the assigned budget and resources, including forecasting and cost control.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service delivery by implementing industry best practices and KPI’s.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence; leadership or management experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Experience working with data warehouses and modern data stacks.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and analytics best practices.
- Proven ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of IT Architecture (experience with SAP is an asset).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with Python or R for analysis and automation.
