Position Overview
AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Atlanta on February 11th-12th. The event begins with a networking mixer on Wednesday from 6-8 pm, followed by on-site interviews on Thursday at the Atlanta, GA office. AECOM is seeking a highly talented Entry-Level Civil Engineer to support engineering activities for water/sewage systems projects. This role—beginning in May or June 2026—includes tasks such as preliminary and final design, estimating feasibility, and data analysis, helping to deliver transformative infrastructure solutions across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Builds analytic and design skills through hands-on project work.
- Conducts planning and engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Performs research, organizes findings, and supports design development.
- Creates preliminary and final designs, prepares calculations, and develops schematic sketches for working drawings.
- Collects and analyzes data to support design decisions.
- Utilizes software such as GIS, AutoCAD, and other relevant tools to solve basic engineering problems.
- Ensures work alignment with agreed-upon budgets and schedules under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Knowledge of GIS and civil engineering computer-based modeling software.
- Coursework or experience in water and wastewater design, pumping systems calculations, site grading, and integration of site services.
