Position Overview
The Talent Business Partner (TBP) is responsible for proactively leading all aspects of strategic and tactical HR support for their designated region and distribution support services within the company. The position serves as a consultant and works closely with their Regional Director and management team on human resource-related issues. Although serving as the single point of contact for all people related issues, the TBP is focused on Talent Management, HR metrics, identifying Training & Development opportunities, Compensation & Benefits and legal compliance. The TBP understands the business beyond the HR function and influences their overall region to ensure superior operations and business outcomes.
Salary: $92,000- $140,000 + cash incentives. Actual salary offers may vary based on work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the full range of HR generalist services to managers and employees with an emphasis on employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, recruiting, and the implementation of HR programs.
- Guide the management of complex organizational and people issues, including employee relations, investigations, counseling, documentation, and the termination process.
- Partner with the Director of Sales & Distribution and Training & Development to identify regional training opportunities, and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to manage the full life cycle recruiting process.
- Guide managers through the performance management process to maximize business goal achievement, ensuring evaluations and recommendations are completed timely; participate in monthly regional business reviews to present HR metrics.
- Coordinate all leave of absences and staffing strategies to deliver on key organizational metrics, and provide training on interviewing techniques, sexual harassment, and management basics.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a multi-site organization, including at least 3 years in a strategic partnership role.
- Demonstrated strong business partnership skills within a matrix environment with the ability to take initiative and ownership.
- Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and adapting national strategies at a local/regional level.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality, understand business priorities, and translate them into actionable HR strategies.
- Experience influencing and managing both local and national initiatives, with strong data analysis skills to identify trends and recommend solutions.
- Self-starter with a creative mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing HR department.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with HR Information Systems.
- Up-to-date knowledge of HR regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
