Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate and analyze claims and enrollment data using SAS and SQL, and import data from disparate sources for multi-health plan reporting.
  • Build and nurture client relationships to identify analytical and reporting needs, and create actionable analytics solutions through medical economics analyses.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as actuarial, risk analytics, data science, and development to deliver robust reporting capabilities as stated in SOW and contracts.
  • Support operational analytics by developing reports, monitoring clinical programs, and creating performance metrics for specialty care, utilization management, care management, and appeals & grievances.
  • Identify data and reporting gaps and work with appropriate teams to address them, ensuring timely delivery of analytical insights.

Required Qualifications

  • BS or BA in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with a quantitative emphasis.
  • 1-5 years of experience in an analytics role within a health plan, consulting firm, hospital system, or related healthcare setting.
  • 1-5 years of experience using SQL or SAS (SQL preferred) and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask across multiple long-term projects while working independently.
  • Experience using various data visualizations to clearly deliver business insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.
  • A collaborative working style and comfort in navigating ambiguous project outlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience developing dashboards using Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
