Position Overview

OmniCable, a leading redistributor of wire, cable, fiber, electrical, and communications products across North America, is seeking an energetic and proactive Account Manager CSC (Entry Level Sales) to manage a portfolio of accounts in Houston, TX. You will drive revenue growth by building and nurturing customer relationships primarily through phone-based engagement and by leveraging OmniCable’s extensive product and service portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage assigned accounts to increase OmniCable brand awareness and uncover new business opportunities.
  • Prioritize outreach via phone and digital channels to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Promote the full OmniCable product and service portfolio to drive demand across all categories.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with OmniCable’s business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all account-related matters, ensuring timely resolution of customer needs.
  • Manage quote and order entry processes with a focus on improving Quote-to-Order conversion rates.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and service excellence.
  • Own and manage an annual revenue and gross profit budget for the assigned portfolio of accounts.
  • Monitor monthly performance against budget targets and take proactive steps to meet or exceed goals.
  • Ensure account and order-level profitability through strategic pricing and cost control.
  • Build and maintain deep product knowledge across all OmniCable categories.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and industry expertise.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to support distributor partners and internal teams.
  • Work independently while contributing to team success by supporting colleagues as needed.
  • Communicate professionally across departments to ensure seamless execution.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports OmniCable’s core values.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or requisite work experience in manufacturing or distribution, preferably in electrical/wire and cable.
  • Minimum 1 year of Inside Sales experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of over-achieving sales quotas.
  • Strong relationship-building and account development skills.
  • Excellent phone presence with experience in a high call volume environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency with corporate productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 (PowerBI experience is a bonus).
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
