Job Description

Position Overview

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day Search Engine Marketing (SEM) activities – including bidding strategy, ad copywriting, campaign analysis, and budget forecasting – while leading and nurturing a high‐performing team. You will also work closely with key internal and external partners to drive strategic SEM initiatives and ensure impactful execution that aligns with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily SEM activities including bidding strategies, ad copywriting, testing, keyword research, budget forecasting, campaign reporting, and continuous program improvement.
  • Effectively manage and allocate the SEM budget to meet expectations.
  • Identify, diagnose, develop, and implement optimization strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Communicate SEM strategies, performance insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Prepare and present performance reports at regular intervals.
  • Analyze performance data to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to boost team productivity and campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, competitors, and platform updates.
  • Collaborate with external teams (SEO, content, social media, developers, etc.) to ensure cohesive strategies.
  • Build and maintain a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Hire, train, and manage team performance in accordance with company policies.
  • Direct the work of multiple full-time employees, providing guidance on performance and career development.
  • Manage daily operations to meet department and company objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Adapt to the changing needs of the business by taking on new responsibilities and assignments.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Maintain high levels of confidentiality and trustworthiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven background in Search Engine Marketing and Pay-Per-Click advertising, with experience in analytics and reporting platforms such as Tableau and GA4.
  • Strong knowledge of SEM best practices and current industry trends.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical proficiency for assessing strengths and weaknesses of SEM programs.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field or a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including supervisory experience (internal candidates require a minimum of 2 years as a high-performing team lead/supervisor; external candidates require a minimum of 3 years in a management role).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Search Engine Marketing.
