Job Description
Position Overview
Our client, a leading private equity firm focused on the technology services sector, is seeking a Service Desk Technician to work onsite at their NYC office. In this role you will deliver white‑glove IT support by troubleshooting desktop operating systems, enterprise productivity applications, email, and endpoint protection and management solutions. You will serve as the first point of contact for IT incidents and provide support both onsite and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, troubleshoot, and remediate issues with desktop infrastructure and applications (Outlook, Office, Adobe, MDM, network printing, VPN, etc.).
- Serve as the first point of contact for endpoint incident troubleshooting.
- Utilize a strong background in Microsoft O365 and Windows workstations.
- Troubleshoot virtual conferencing systems (such as Zoom) and support conference room technology.
- Troubleshoot iPhones and iPads.
- Communicate effectively with staff, internal teams, and executive users.
- Review ticket queues, manage priorities, and update end users.
- Assist in designing and documenting end‑user solutions.
- Configure and deploy Windows laptops.
- Support in managing and delivering IT‑related projects.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of work experience with progressively more responsibilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Windows OS troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting experience with O365 apps and Windows applications.
- Active Directory experience.
- Experience with antivirus platforms and OS patching.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with SCCM or any imaging technology is preferred.
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: $130,000–$145,000 (Contract to Hire)
