This role operates on a hybrid model, offering a balanced approach to in-office and remote work. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced control systems for manufacturing and industrial processes.

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of industrial automation technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, robotics, and industrial networks. You will design electrical schematics, develop PLC code, configure HMI screens, and troubleshoot complex automation systems. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in both team-based and independent settings. You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, software developers, and clients to ensure the successful integration of automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery and processes.
  • Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) from major manufacturers (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
  • Develop Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
  • Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using CAD software.
  • Specify and select automation components, including sensors, actuators, drives, and motor control devices.
  • Implement industrial network communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
  • Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning of automation solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing automation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration.
  • Stay current with advancements in automation technology and industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in designing and implementing industrial automation and control systems.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and HMI/SCADA development.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panel design, and industrial power distribution.
  • Experience with industrial networking protocols and hardware.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with robotics integration is a plus.
