Position Overview

Position Title: Application Engineer
Location: Port Arthur, TX
Schedule: Full time

The Application Engineer will use in-depth knowledge of KSB products and processes to manage quotations for pumps, parts, and repair jobs, while mentoring colleagues and collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Provides engineering support for part, pump, and system application issues.
  • Provides technical support and serves as an interface for service centers and part repairs.
  • Leads the Product Field Complaint (PFC) process, driving resolutions, quality investigations, and warranty support.
  • Generates proposals for sight-unseen engineered part and pump repairs.
  • Reviews C4C tickets from sales for clear instructions and assigns them to the Inside Sales Associate to begin the quoting process.
  • Evaluates the scope of work for new parts, part repairs, and pump repairs for technical accuracy and facilitates the pricing process.
  • Continuously validates automated quoting tools and reviews completed jobs in coordination with foundry and machine shop operations.
  • Assists in time studies and data gathering between departments to build quoting standards and improve efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience with centrifugal pump engineering and application.
  • Qualifications: Proficient in basic MS Office applications; familiarity with Autodesk (AutoCAD/Inventor) is a plus; API 610 knowledge is preferred.
  • Strong responsiveness, time management, effective communication, deductive reasoning, and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Autodesk (AutoCAD/Inventor) is advantageous.
  • API 610 knowledge is considered a plus.
