Job Description

Position Overview

The candidate will provide technical expertise and leadership to multiple teams focused on designing, building, and deploying hardware, software, and network technologies. This role is responsible for ensuring activities align with architectural objectives, mentoring team members, championing standard processes, and delivering robust, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and leadership to a team of highly technical employees; foster a collaborative and accountable environment while ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Partner with leadership and manage direct reports, contractors, and vendors to deliver robust technical solutions, maintain service level commitments, and meet project timelines.
  • Champion the continuous improvement of processes, policies, and best practices by driving consistent technical build, implementation, and support processes that align with SDLC methods.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot, and perform root-cause analysis of development and test environment issues, leading corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Define, track, and measure departmental performance through reports and metrics while participating in strategic and financial planning processes.
  • Continuously develop specialized technical knowledge and effectively communicate the value of emerging technologies to leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience with a progressively expanding scope, including both hands-on technical work and leadership responsibilities.
  • 3-5+ years of project management experience with a proven record of delivering projects and driving execution.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing, leading, and coaching teams, with superior reasoning and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong technical proficiency; skill requirements may vary per domain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of direct people-management experience, including performance management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical details for diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in multi-vendor (outsourced) environments with strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.

  • Compensation: Base salary estimated between $114,500 and $154,000 with a pay-for-performance philosophy.
