Position Overview
PKU Industries is seeking a licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) to support industrial and energy projects across Texas and Louisiana. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical ownership, engineering judgment, and real project impact—without excessive corporate layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Mechanical Engineer of Record (PE) for assigned scopes
- Perform and review mechanical engineering deliverables, including:
- Piping systems, equipment layouts, mechanical calculations
- Pressure vessels, tanks, rotating & static equipment
- Review and PE-stamp drawings, calculations, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. codes and standards
- Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and process disciplines
- Interface with clients, vendors, and local authorities as required
- Provide technical oversight of international engineering deliverables to ensure U.S. compliance
Required Qualifications
- Active PE license in Texas and/or Louisiana
- 5–15 years mechanical engineering experience in industrial or energy facilities
- Working knowledge of:
- ASME (B31.1, B31.3, Section VIII)
- API (650, 620, 610)
- Applicable building and mechanical codes
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound engineering judgment while collaborating with a global team
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with clients
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering concepts and practices
- Ability to conduct Research and Development (R&D) to innovate mechanical systems and solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- EPC or EPCm project background strongly preferred
Required Skills

Active PE license (Texas and/or Louisiana)
EPC/EPCm project experience
Rotating and static equipment evaluation
Pressure vessel and tank design
