Position Overview
Roku is the #1 TV streaming platform in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico – changing the way the world watches TV. Our mission is to connect consumers to the content they love while enabling publishers and advertisers to achieve their business objectives. As part of the Advertising Sales team, you will work closely with media and entertainment marketers and their agencies to leverage Roku’s massive scale, 1P data, and cross-platform measurement solutions in building innovative advertising executions. Location: Los Angeles. Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 annually. Compensation: Incentive compensation/commissions, health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with tech, entertainment, and social media clients and their agencies.
- Build relationships with senior level decision makers.
- Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches.
- Define key business drivers and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategic approaches leveraging Roku’s scale, 1P data, measurement, and unique ad products.
- Gather marketplace insights to help build new ad products and measurement solutions.
- Work toward aggressive advertising revenue goals as a key individual contributor.
- Report on revenue projections and forecasts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of TV and digital sales experience in the media and entertainment vertical (experience in additional verticals is considered).
- At least 5 years of sales experience with performance marketing, either in a managed service or self-service environment focused on media and entertainment.
- Proven track record in closing small, medium, and large deals with key entertainment, technology, and social media partners and their agencies.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal collaborators and facilitate client engagements.
- Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach with the capacity to navigate ambiguity and manage multiple priorities.
- A collaborative mindset with proven experience working in cross-functional team settings.
- Understanding of the FAST/SVOD/AVOD and social media spaces and how Roku’s advertising solutions drive business goals.
- Familiarity with the digital advertising landscape and industry trends, applying a unique Roku perspective.
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
