Position Overview

MODE Global is the 5th largest truckload broker and largest non-asset intermodal provider in North America with over 200 agents/offices coast to coast. Operating under a family of businesses and brands, MODE Global delivers full-service logistics solutions.

We are seeking a highly motivatedAccount Executive, Commercial Saleto join our Commercial Sales team. You will prospect, acquire, and nurture new client relationships in the logistics and transportation sector while delivering end-to-end supply chain solutions. Work remotely and help drive MODE Global’s growth by understanding clients’ unique shipping needs and tailoring strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and target new business opportunities through cold calling, outreach, networking, and inbound leads to build a robust pipeline in the logistics and transportation space.
  • Solution Selling: Analyze customer shipping and logistics needs; present MODE Global’s transportation solutions, create strategic modal strategies, and demonstrate business ROI through tailored partnerships.
  • Sales Presentations & Demos: Lead presentations and discussions that clearly communicate our value proposition, product offerings, and competitive advantages.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing, ensuring alignment with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by acting as a trusted advisor and supporting ongoing business growth.
  • Collaboration with Operations Teams: Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth service implementation and delivery.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to effectively position our solutions.
  • Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Track performance, update CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and report on pipeline progress and revenue forecasts.
  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and KPIs to contribute to MODE Global’s overall growth.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of demonstrated B2B sales experience; knowledge of transportation, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred.
  • Proven track record in prospecting, driving new business development, selling, and closing deals while meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Solid understanding of logistics, transportation management systems, and supply chain solutions; familiarity with freight, 3PL services, or global shipping is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex logistics solutions persuasively to decision-makers.
  • Proven negotiation skills with experience in contracting, pricing, and stakeholder management.
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in CRM systems (such as Salesforce) and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly assess customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a results-oriented mindset in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business or Professional Selling.
