Job Description

Position Overview

Dell Technologies is seeking a System Administrator to join its Professional Services Consulting Team in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role you will manage the setup, configuration, maintenance, and security of computing systems used for test environments—especially those handling classified, sensitive, or real-time mission data. You will leverage deep technical expertise combined with business insights to help customers overcome strategic, organizational, and operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the customer’s strategic, organizational, and business challenges and offer solutions aligned with future operational objectives.
  • Provide expertise on technical architectural design, strategies, and plans for future solutions while advising on requirements for technical implementations.
  • Mentor and support less experienced co-workers through formal training or on-the-job guidance.
  • Analyze complex problems using sophisticated analytical and problem-solving techniques to identify causes.
  • Operate independently with work being reviewed at critical points.

Required Qualifications

  • US Citizen local to Fort Worth, Texas
  • Possess active Top Secret Department of Defense (DoD) clearance
  • Possess CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Microsoft Windows 10/11 Enterprise – OS Deployment, Virtual Environment Optimization, Firewall
  • Microsoft Windows Server – Deploy in Offline/Air-Gapped environments, Enterprise Automation, App Services
  • Microsoft SQL Server – Installation in Offline/Air-Gapped setups, Database Management, ODBC, Automation
  • Microsoft Active Directory – Deployment, Management, Troubleshooting (DS, DNS, DFS, DHCP, GPO)
  • Microsoft PowerShell – Creating, modifying, and executing scripts; PowerCLI integrations
  • Microsoft MDT / WDS / WSUS utilization
  • Microsoft ECM/SCCM – Patch Management
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux – Installation, configuration, maintenance; Bash, Ansible, repository management, SSH
  • DISA ACAS – Deployment and configuration (TenableSC, Nessus, NNM)
  • DISA STIG – Experience with hardening, SCAP, STIG Viewer, and Evaluate-STIG
  • VMware vSphere – Installation, troubleshooting, maintenance; Horizon/VDI, DVS, vSAN, Automation
  • Hands-on experience with Dell Hardware – PowerEdge, PowerScale/Isilon, PowerStore, PowerSwitch/OS10, Unity, VxRail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with adept verbal and written communication; proven ability to document processes for customers

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $104,550 – $135,300.
