Registered Nurse (Limited Stay Unit)

Position Overview

Children’s Minnesota, one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States, is dedicated to providing exceptional care exclusively to children. In this role, you will coordinate and deliver family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents utilizing the nursing process. You will be accountable for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health team. THIS IS AN MNA CONTRACT POSITION.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents using the nursing process.
• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Ensure compliance with department-specific requirements and obtain additional certifications within six months, as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Minnesota RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• At least one (1) year of nursing experience in a hospital setting; pediatric experience is preferred.
• Obtain department-specific required qualifications within six months of employment.
• Current Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification required or to be obtained during orientation.
