Junior Software Developer

Position Overview

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer who can help build and extend new SaaS offerings using the latest technologies. You’ll work alongside a talented team developing high-tech UAVs, advanced geospatial web applications, and contributing to impactful projects in public health, biology, and precision agriculture.Compensation:$80,000 - $108,000 annually(based on experience and location). Please note: This position is unable to accommodate sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities

• Extend custom enterprise web applications, APIs, and mobile apps, and support these features through development, QA, rollout, and post-production.
• Build out new front-end UIs and integrate them with backend functionality.
• Collaborate with delivery teams, product teams, and management to refine business requirements, design technical solutions, and resolve issues.

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Experience in extending application features
• Proficiency in .NET Core with C#
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
• Familiarity with source control platforms like GIT
• Willingness to travel a few times a year for team meetings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using LINQ, Entity Framework, and SQL Server within .NET Core applications
• Expertise in JavaScript frameworks like Angular or React
• Proficiency with CSS technologies such as SASS or LESS and Bootstrap
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Postgres
• Background working with DevOps teams managing the full engineering lifecycle
• Familiarity with Azure services including App Containers, Security, Identity, and Data services
• Experience analyzing application and cloud environment performance
• Knowledge of web-mapping libraries (such as Google Maps, MapBox, or OpenStreetMap) or other GIS tools
