JOB SUMMARY

The primary function of the Field Service Representative position will be to maintain and expand the Company's business base by maximizing the profitability of assigned customer accounts. The Field Service Representative will use their service expertise and technical knowledge about the water treatment industry to recommend and apply basic water treatment applications and solutions, as well as communicate program results to the Company's Sales Managers and customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project professional image of Company through positive attitude and punctual and reliable attendance at all appointments
  • Follow all legal safety regulations, as well as procedures set forth by both Company and customers
  • Participate in delivery and installation of systems at customer sites
  • Work on-site at customer locations to provide routine, day-to-day service to determine if water treatment program is operating within optimal ranges
  • Check, clean and adjust equipment; document findings and analysis of conditions in detailed reports
  • Local travel is expected and ongoing; travel approximately 2% outside assigned region
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge in order to provide sound water treatment recommendations to customers
  • General warehouse duties; receive product deliveries, maintain inventory, cleaning and disposal procedures
  • Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in technical service
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience
  • Working knowledge of the agricultural industry
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and ability to learn internal business systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Mechanical/technical aptitude
  • Ability to understand and learn technical properties and functionality of product portfolio
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision; effectively plan, organize and execute activities
  • Possession of a current, valid California driver's license and adherence to Company standards for operating a motor vehicle
  • Able to physically provide service at customer facilities within a wide range of environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) plus years of experience in technical service
