Job Description

Position Overview

Fivetran's mission is to make access to data as simple and reliable as electricity. In this role as a Commercial/Mid-Market Account Executive, you’ll build data pipelines for thousands of companies while working in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of the Oakland, CA office, offering a blend of remote flexibility and in-person collaboration (two days in the office each week). Technologies you’ll use include Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, and Clari.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily outbound prospecting to target account lists to create demand and generate consistent pipeline
  • Collaborate with partner networks to generate referrals, co-sell on opportunities, and expand Fivetran’s presence
  • Conduct detailed discovery sessions, deliver product demonstrations, coordinate executive alignment, and drive positive business outcomes for customers
  • Develop deep expertise in Fivetran’s technology, market, and value proposition
  • Execute campaigns to drive customer adoption and expand usage within customer accounts during their first 6 months
  • Forecast and articulate opportunities weekly using MEDDPICC and Command of the Message methodology, while providing feedback to cross-functional teams
  • Embrace and adapt to a fast-moving environment with significant change

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in a closing sales role with a background in Business Development
  • A consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • A customer-centric approach and genuine passion for leveraging data to deliver value
  • Ability to convey technical principles in a consultative and conversational manner
  • Willingness and ability to travel as necessary

  • Familiarity with the modern data technology industry and key industry players
