Position Overview
Hennepin Healthcare is an integrated system of care that includes HCMC—a nationally recognized Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level I Pediatric Trauma Center—as well as a network of clinics across Minneapolis and the surrounding communities. The comprehensive system features a 473-bed academic medical center, a large outpatient Clinic & Specialty Center, and extensive community health services.
We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) to join our Labor & Delivery unit. This position is 0.7 FTE (7 shifts/pay period, 8-hour shifts) with a schedule of Night, Every Other Weekend, and On Call shifts. This role will also require training as a charge nurse. Location: MN-Minneapolis-Downtown Campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate nursing care within the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model.
- Protect, promote, and optimize health while preventing illness and injury.
- Alleviate suffering through the treatment of the human response.
- Partner with patients, their families, and significant others to ensure individualized care planning.
- Document clinical interventions and maintain an individualized plan of care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior maternal health professional experience (or capstone) strongly preferred.
- Certification in a clinical specialty area.
- BSN preferred; a Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged with opportunities for advancement in academic education.
