Position Overview

Join an innovative company on a mission to transform the energy sector through cutting-edge agentic AI solutions. In the role of Lead AI Engineer based in Dallas, TX (Hybrid), you will drive the development of a groundbreaking Agentic AI Platform for low‐carbon energy solutions. You’ll work directly with high-profile customers, including leading energy companies, and collaborate closely with founders to bring creative, impactful use cases to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and help build a multi-agent system while working with initial customers to redefine requirements.
  • Develop and deploy agentic AI systems and autonomous agents.
  • Design AI Agents and build applications using large language models (LLMs) and AI frameworks.
  • Integrate large language models via APIs to create responsive tools.
  • Lead Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) strategies to optimize AI output relevance, accuracy, and safety.
  • Collaborate with customers to refine requirements and transform use cases into working products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience as a Technical Lead in software development and architecture, preferably in AI.
  • 5+ years of Python programming experience, including asynchronous programming and API design.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agent systems (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
  • Proven expertise in RAG strategies for AI optimization.
  • Experience with vector databases such as ChromaDB, Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, AWS Kendra, or Vertex AI Search.
  • Proficiency in integrating LLMs via APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Claude, etc.).
  • Experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3) and deploying ML workloads in containers.
  • Understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Startup or small company experience in AI development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with knowledge graphs or semantic retrieval systems.
  • Background in applied machine learning including fine-tuning, embedding optimization, and evaluation metrics.
  • Production experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
