Civil Engineer - Entry Level

Position Overview

In this role, you will assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects for diverse sectors including mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates, and design plans using software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Utilize reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological patterns, and topographical & geologic data for project planning and design.
• Recommend innovative approaches to improve efficiency and service quality.
• Apply engineering and advanced mathematics techniques in project design.
• Collaborate effectively with team members on various project tasks and assignments.
• Perform additional duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Entry to 2 years’ experience.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• EIT Certification or current registration for the FE exam.
• Relevant internship or professional experience in site/civil design including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

• Salary Range: Estimated range of $72,000 - $84,500, with variability based on work experience, location, market conditions, education, certifications, and other credentials. Participation in overtime and bonus programs may also apply.
