Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of SEO and Content to lead the Southwest Airlines account at Wpromote. In this role, you will oversee a cross-functional team spanning SEO, Content Marketing, and Strategy initiatives to redefine organic discoverability, customer engagement, and AI Search leadership. Reporting to the Senior Director, Earned & Owned Strategy, you will combine technical excellence with creative storytelling to drive measurable business outcomes. This opportunity lets you shape the digital evolution of one of America’s most beloved brands while establishing a scalable Center of Excellence (CoE) for Earned & Owned Media.
Salary: $118,000 - $130,000 per year
Compensation: Total package includes benefits and an annual performance bonus
Schedule: Onsite presence required at the client’s office 3 times per week
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Lead client success and strategic direction for the full Earned & Owned program by translating multi-year roadmaps into actionable priorities and overseeing the creation of large-scale content ecosystems.
- Responsibilities: Oversee strategic frameworks for AI Search readiness, integrating AI-driven insights into forecasting, prioritization, and creative planning across digital channels.
- Responsibilities: Build and operationalize the Earned & Owned Center of Excellence (CoE) by defining processes, governance, and collaborative playbooks between SEO and Content teams.
- Responsibilities: Collaborate with client and internal Product, Data, and Engineering teams to enhance technical infrastructure, reporting automation, and ensure seamless cross-functional execution.
- Responsibilities: Accelerate organic growth by identifying new opportunities, launching content hubs, optimizing App Store strategies, and supporting financial modeling and business development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required: 7–10 years of experience leading Earned & Owned Media programs (SEO, Content, or adjacent digital channels) with at least 3 years in a client-facing agency role.
- Qualifications: Proven category experience within travel, loyalty, or large-scale consumer service industries.
- Experience with Web Analytics and platforms such as SEMRush or similar SEO tools.
- Proven success in managing large-scale, enterprise search and content transformation initiatives.
- Deep understanding of AI Search evolution and advanced organic analytics.
- Demonstrated experience in developing or leading a Center of Excellence (CoE) or global governance model.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with exceptional presentation and executive communication abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in forecasting, modeling, and performance storytelling.
