The Mollie Plotkin Group is a global keynote speakers agency with offices in Philadelphia. We publish a high volume of speaker and event-related website content that must follow consistent formatting, brand, and SEO guidelines.

The role

We’re hiring a part-time Technical Writer to produce publishing-ready website pages in WordPress using clearly defined templates and instructions. This role is ideal for someone who’s an excellent writer/editor and enjoys structured work where accuracy matters.

This is not a software development role. It’s writing + formatting + content publishing.

What you’ll do

• Write and edit clear, accurate website copy using internal guidelines and templates
• Format pages to match specific publishing standards (headings, internal links, lists, metadata, etc.)
• Publish and QA pages in WordPress
• Update existing pages (speaker lists, blog posts, site refresh updates) with strong attention to detail
• Support our content calendar by creating new pages/posts as assigned
• Occasionally share simple weekly progress/SEO updates internally (we’ll provide the structure)

What success looks like

• You produce clean, consistent pages that require minimal rework
• You follow instructions precisely and ask smart clarifying questions when needed
• You hit steady output expectations while maintaining quality

Productivity expectation: ~1 complete page per hour (a “complete page” = copy + formatting + required publishing configurations)

Who you are

• A strong writer/editor with a sharp eye for consistency, typos, and formatting
• Process-oriented: you like checklists, templates, and doing things “the right way” every time
• Comfortable learning tools like WordPress, Google Workspace, and basic SEO concepts
• Reliable communicator who can work independently in short weekly blocks of time
• Able to work in-person in Philadelphia (this is not a remote role)

Helpful (not required)

• Experience writing or editing web content (blogs, landing pages, documentation, newsletters, etc.)
• Familiarity with WordPress or other CMS tools
• Comfort using AI tools (ChatGPT, etc.) as a drafting assistant (with human editing/QA)
