Position Overview

The Director of Operations oversees all clinical and administrative aspects of the practice(s) including revenue goals, performance metrics, center operations, administrative and patient management functions. This role is accountable for patient satisfaction, staff leadership, productivity, clinical quality of care, health center operations, membership growth, and fiscal management. The position manages shared services such as patient services, transportation, care management, wellness, community outreach, and member engagement while providing input on strategic growth planning and managing a budget under the direction of the Market President or Market Vice President.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of centers, ensuring workflow adherence and operational success of business initiatives.
  • Mentor and train Health Center Managers to maintain consistency in quality services and efficient processes.
  • Provide leadership in developing, implementing, measuring, and monitoring strategic clinical and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures and protocols for center operations.
  • Coordinate training sessions (e.g., HEDIS, MRA, Pharmacy Metrics), performance report reviews, and arrange meetings between providers and insurance companies.
  • Analyze clinic performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
  • Supervise daily operations including procurement, order generation, help desk functions, and expense reconciliations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as Clinical Outcome, Productivity, Utilization, Risk Management, Patient Satisfaction, and Financial performance.
  • Coordinate project plans to ensure deliverables are met within budget and timelines, maintaining clear operational documentation.
  • Train staff, support associates, and ensure exceptional customer service in accordance with company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in healthcare settings, including operational and administrative responsibilities.
  • Qualifications: Strong knowledge of the healthcare industry, legal and regulatory requirements, Medical Insurance, HIPAA, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must possess excellent communication skills and be fluent in English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with project management and change management within healthcare operations.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage franchise operations.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics tools and advanced IT systems in a healthcare setting.
