Position Overview
Pathfinders Advertising is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing (Boston) to lead the digital team in a remote work environment. Eligible candidates must reside in one of these states: IN, MI, IL, OH, KY, TN, MN, MA, FL, GA, PA. Occasional travel is required – approximately once per year for the annual summit in Mishawaka, IN or for client engagements. The anticipated salary range is $80,000 to $120,000 based on experience, with an internal pay band extending up to $140,000.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide creative and usability recommendations on strategies and outputs to support both client engagements and internal initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Creative team to ensure consistent brand voice and messaging.
- Define and manage website roadmaps and feature backlogs to meet client goals.
- Serve as a primary contact for clients, vendors, technology partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead user experience efforts by working closely with account strategists, developers, and designers to optimize websites, emails, and other digital outputs.
- Analyze problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Develop personas and CX/UX journey maps utilizing data and insights across key audience segments.
- Conduct market research, including A/B testing, to guide digital strategies.
- Monitor and interpret digital analytics to ensure quality control and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and pitches for both project work and business development.
- Collaborate with Account Services to develop estimates and implementation plans that assemble the right teams.
- Maintain up-to-date skills in digital technologies, software, and hardware, ensuring the team remains on the cutting edge.
- Represent agency perspectives in written formats, formal presentations, and client meetings.
- Attend required employee orientations, training sessions, quarterly meetings, and annual summits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc./B.A.)
- 10+ years of related industry experience in creative agencies, digital marketing, or consulting
- 3+ years of management experience
- Proven digital development and creative experience with an expert understanding of the advertising industry (responsive web design, APIs, database structures, lead nurturing, email, landing pages, SEO, etc.)
- Ability to simplify complex technology concepts, plan and prioritize multiple projects, and deploy effective solutions
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders and clients regarding digital deliverables
- Excellent understanding of CMS and ecommerce platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify) and experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot, Marketo)
- Proven ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement using data and performance metrics
- Familiarity with both waterfall and agile methodologies
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in cross-functional teams
