UI/UX Designer

Position Overview

Artech, the 10th Largest IT Staffing Company in the US, is looking for a Web and Interaction Designer who can create engaging and effective visual design solutions across web, desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms. This role requires a strong design background, excellent proficiency with the Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), and the ability to work on a PC environment to deliver creative solutions in collaboration with Technology and Business teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay out web design projects with strong proficiency in visual design and wireframe creation.
• Utilize the Adobe suite effectively to produce high-impact designs.
• Differentiate between wireframes and full visual designs and create prototypes using tools such as Justinmind, Axure, and Invision.
• Collaborate closely with Technology and Business teams to address complex interaction models and data visualization challenges.
• Generate multiple visual design concepts, articulate the benefits of each, and make clear recommendations.
• Create and organize production assets and maintain consistency with established styles and standards.
• Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills through a solid portfolio of recent design projects.

Required Qualifications

• Must be able to work comfortably on a PC (Windows operating system) environment.
• Collaborative attitude with the ability to quickly understand concepts and contribute value.
• Ability to take direction while working autonomously and staying on task.
• Strong conceptual skills for deciphering whiteboard diagrams and pencil sketches.
• Comfortable with iterative design processes based on user and business feedback.
• Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML & CSS) to collaborate effectively with IT partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile (scrum) experience
• Previous experience working in a large company
• Brokerage/banking experience
