Position Overview
KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. Our team is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to join us in supporting our great nation and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) development team in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure primarily using Microsoft Azure with some secondary work in AWS
- Provision infrastructure in the cloud with Terraform
- Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost, and reliability
- Collaborate with development, data, and security teams to support cloud-native applications and services
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI SI/TK (essential)
- CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 qualification
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience provisioning Azure infrastructure using Terraform
- 3+ years of experience with Linux commands, shell navigation, and Git version control
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
- Understanding of cloud security best practices, identity and access management, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to research and independently resolve complex technical problems
Preferred Qualifications
- Cloud certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and air-gapped deployments
- Experience building GitLab CI/CD pipelines, deploying helm charts, and containerizing applications
Benefits & Perks
- Basic Compensation: $115,200 - $172,800 (For the Colorado Springs Area Only)
- Additional Compensation: Bonuses, sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance
