Position Overview
Join First American Title as a Loan File Reviewer, where you will play a crucial role in the mortgage loan process. This position primarily involves performing detailed reviews and analyses of mortgage loan documents and system data to validate the worthiness of residential loan warehouse financing advances. You will ensure that all actions and communications regarding loans in the pipeline are handled efficiently and effectively. As a Loan File Reviewer, you will utilize proprietary tools to conduct comparative audits of loan data supplied by mortgage originators, determining whether to accept or decline loan files for advancement to the wire funding team. Daily interactions with senior management regarding pipeline status and results, as well as providing system process training for mortgage lender customers, are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you may assist with funding package audits, wire advance requests, and customer service support. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines are essential. This position offers a hybrid work model for local applicants, requiring two days per week onsite in Dallas, while out-of-area applicants may work remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed review and analysis of mortgage loan documents and system data.
- Use proprietary tools to conduct comparative audits of loan data.
- Decide whether to accept or decline loan files for wire funding processing.
- Handle all actions and communications regarding loans in the pipeline.
- Interact daily with Senior Management regarding pipeline status and results.
- Provide system process training for mortgage lender customers.
- Audit funding packages for completeness and accuracy as needed.
- Prepare and transmit wire advance requests to banking sources by deadlines.
- Monitor banking sources for wire confirmations and resolve stipulations.
- Coordinate and communicate daily with Fulfillment companies and Lenders.
- Prepare and transmit supplemental funding advance wires and process return wire requests.
- Obtain purchase advices from Fulfillment companies and Lenders in a timely manner.
- Reconcile loans in the pipeline once wire and purchase advice is received.
- Provide telephone customer service support as needed.
- Offer general administrative support to Directors and the President/CEO.
Required Qualifications
- Two years experience in loan processing, closing, funding or post-closing of residential mortgage loans.
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to perform tasks under deadlines.
- Overall understanding of the Mortgage Loan Life Cycle process and mortgage loan documents.
- Extreme attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organizational skills and sound independent judgment.
- Customer service skills and proficiency in all MS Office applications.
