Position Overview

The Marketing Strategist at Indiana University Indianapolis will play a crucial role in developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aimed at enhancing the university’s brand reputation and supporting long-term enrollment growth. This role involves collaboration with campus leadership and various marketing partners to create targeted messaging and campaign assets while monitoring industry trends to identify opportunities for advancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and activate marketing plans with a digital emphasis, creating messaging for specific target audiences.
  • Oversee the creation of campaign assets and report on campaign success.
  • Execute comprehensive marketing plans that engage target audiences and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of brand marketing, enrollment marketing, and relevant marketing channels.
  • Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities to advance the university’s goals.
  • Support sponsorship activation plans and coordinate efforts across campus partners.
  • Develop strong relationships with campus marketing and communications partners.
  • Measure campaign performance and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in team-based marketing planning to align strategies and deadlines across various projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, public relations, or related field.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in marketing and communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of experience with strong knowledge in marketing and communications principles and strategy.
  • Experience in creating and implementing comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Experience in brand-building initiatives and digital paid media experiences.
  • Experience with paid social media campaigns and multi-channel marketing.
