Position Overview
U.S. Bancorp Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our growing audit team within the Digital, Technology and Operations group. In this role, you will support audit coverage for Wealth Management, Investment Advisory Services, and Trust Products Operations while assisting with engagements across multiple business lines. This position requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Audit Project Manager in planning audit engagements including performing control testing based on audit program directions and applying appropriate sampling techniques.
- Draft issues under the supervision of the Senior Auditor/Audit Project Manager by identifying root causes and developing recommendations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to evaluate, test, and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls.
- Support integrated audits to assess IT and automated control risks within digital systems and applications.
- Perform additional duties as requested by CAS management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than two years of applicable experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory trends impacting financial services
- Basic understanding of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with wealth management, investment services, and trust products operations along with digital transformation and IT processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Basic understanding of IIA Standards and internal controls
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Experience in the financial services industry and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
