Position Overview:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in a Skilled Nursing Facility is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Manager. The LVN works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the well-being and comfort of residents.

  • Administering medications and monitoring patient reactions
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
  • Collaborating with RNs and other healthcare team members to implement care plans
  • Conducting routine physical examinations and health assessments
  • Educating patients and families about health conditions and care plans
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations and protocols

Qualifications:

  • Newly licensed LVNs are welcome to apply
  • Experienced LVNs are preferred
  • Background in skilled nursing, long-term and/or short term care is a plus
  • Current and valid California LVN license
  • Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association
