Job Description

Position Overview

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Entry Level Maintenance Engineer to join the Airplane Maintenance Engineering team in Seal Beach, CA. In this role, you will analyze complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance and repair requirements, support enhancements in product design and processes, and develop technical solutions to assist customers while ensuring supportability and maintainability.

Location: 100% onsite in Seal Beach, California.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously develop, validate, and deliver technical data for airplane maintenance and fault isolation in adherence to Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and FAA/Foreign Regulatory standards.
  • Analyze complex engineering designs, supplier specifications, and engine manufacturer design data to determine maintenance, repair, and tooling support requirements.
  • Develop configuration-specific procedures and instructions and drive product designs and process improvements to ensure safety, supportability, and maintainability.
  • Develop and implement fault isolation procedures and techniques while creating comprehensive system theory descriptions for a common understanding of systems and components.
  • Conduct engineering analyses to verify the accuracy of maintenance data and collaborate with customers to address inquiries, develop technical solutions, and assess maintenance operations.
  • Innovate new procedures and techniques to enhance product maintenance capabilities and participate in organizational initiatives influencing the Aerospace Industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Material Sciences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical data.
  • Current or prior Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License issued by the Federal Aviation Administration.
  • Experience in areas such as Propulsion, Avionics, Electrical, Communication, Navigation, Hydraulics, Mechanical Systems, Landing Gear, and/or Payloads/Interiors.
  • Familiarity with systems like REDARS, CATIA, ENOIVA, and PSDS.
