Job Description
Position Overview
The Marketing Program Manager executes on direct marketing strategies to meet business objectives and manages targeted marketing campaigns supporting consumer, business, and commercial banking. The position supports marketing initiatives including customer acquisition and campaigns aimed at deepening relationships with existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the implementation and execution of key marketing programs, ensuring alignment with financial, regulatory, legal, operational, product, project and strategic objectives.
- Partner with segment, product, and analytics teams to ideate and develop marketing campaigns that achieve business objectives.
- Define and recommend opportunities for offer, creative execution, and package formats.
- Develop timelines for all marketing campaign components – including pre-planning, business case development, target audience modeling, creative development, review and approval, quality control, print/production, and mailing.
- Manage the budget for marketing campaigns by collaborating with advertising agencies and production vendors to provide cost-efficient recommendations and options.
- Lead the creation and execution of direct marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate with advertising agencies and internal teams (segment managers, product managers, creative/brand team, legal, and compliance) to ensure that creative briefs and deliverables match strategy, deadlines, and budget.
- Oversee the review and approval process of all marketing campaign components alongside creative, legal, and compliance teams.
- Lead quality control processes, including target audience list audits across all marketing channels, ensuring adherence to test design and accuracy of variable components.
- Develop a production matrix to ensure that direct marketing strategies and tests are executed as planned and align with business cases and testing designs.
- Direct production vendors and internal teams to ensure flawless campaign execution.
- Manage production vendors to guarantee that all campaign components meet brand and quality guidelines and are delivered within the agreed timeline and budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- A minimum of 5 years of direct marketing and project management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services and/or consumer goods marketing.
- Experience managing agency and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of database and direct marketing principles including customer segmentation, testing, and applying results to improve future campaigns.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical and financial orientation.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across broad stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience managing complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns including mail, email, and online channels with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
