Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care per established hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient health status, respond promptly to changes, and collaborate with the healthcare team to adjust treatment plans.
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform other critical interventions as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care and achieve the best outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families by providing updates, education about treatment plans, and emotional support.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe, sterile environment.
- Document patient information, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Follow established policies related to patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience within the last 2 years.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact state license).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with flexible shift availability.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various healthcare facilities.
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and protocols, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills coupled with a compassionate care approach.
