Position Overview

Position Title: Graphic Designer

Classification:

Regular; Exempt; Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Reports to:

Art Manager

Location:

Boston, MA office, remote within the U.S., or hybrid. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

The Graphic Designer is a creative and detail-oriented visual communicator who plays a key role on the Marketing and Communications team at Partners In Health (PIH). This role supports fundraising, development, and global marketing and communications by translating complex ideas into clear, compelling visuals for both print and digital platforms. A strong portfolio is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Execution (70%): Design compelling visual materials—including print collateral such as newsletters, brochures, annual/impact reports, one-pagers, swag, and small donor gifts—for fundraising and donor engagement.
  • • Design and prepare assets for digital platforms, including web, social media, email graphics, and presentation decks.
  • • Create clear and engaging illustrations, infographics, graphs, and charts for diverse audiences.
  • • Support the Art Manager in branding, asset development, and material rollout for campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • • Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing ideas for visual storytelling, campaigns, and donor experiences.
  • • Collaborate with writers, multimedia, digital, and development teams to ensure deliverables are on-brand, on time, and within budget.
  • • Coordinate with external printers and merchandise vendors as needed.
  • • Support the growth of a shared design system by creating templates, guidelines, and assets for a global team.

Required Qualifications

  • • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • • Strong portfolio demonstrating work in both print and digital design, with expertise in layout, branding, and typography.
  • • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop); familiarity with Canva, Figma, or similar tools.
  • • Experience in illustration, infographics, or data visualization is a plus.
  • • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

  • Compensation: Expected starting salary range of $60,000–$65,000 per year (with an overall range of $60,000–$75,000), based on market factors, skills, and experience.
