Position Overview

Join our dedicated team and help prioritize health! We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Analyst to enhance our Cybersecurity Operations Center (CSOC). If you have a strong background in monitoring and responding to security alerts, this is the perfect opportunity for you. In this role, you'll collaborate with team members, engage with the Digital Forensics and Incident Response team, leverage a robust array of tools, and play a vital role in securing our organization's digital environment.

The Cybersecurity Operations Analyst is responsible for documenting cyber defense incidents from initial detection through to resolution or escalation. You will ensure that all information is accurately logged, analyzed, and reported for effective root-cause analysis. You will need to understand departmental strategies and objectives and make independent decisions regarding your work while occasionally navigating uncertain situations, following established guidelines with some guidance as needed.

Although this position is remote, occasional travel for training or meetings at Humana's offices may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: Documenting cyber defense incidents from initial detection through to resolution or escalation; ensuring accurate logging, analysis, and reporting for effective root-cause analysis; collaborating with team members and specialized teams; and making decisions in line with departmental strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience Required: 1-3 years of experience in a security operations center or similar role.
  • Proficient in using security tools including SIEM and EDR.
  • Strong capability to investigate and respond effectively to security alerts.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Requirements: Must have a high-speed DSL or cable modem at home with a minimum standard speed of 25x10 (25mbps download x 10mbps upload); satellite and wireless internet services are not permitted; and maintain a quiet workspace to ensure the protection of member PHI/HIPAA information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Qualifications: Relevant Security Certification.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a technology-related field.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $80,900 - $110,300 per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
