Senior Software Engineer, Back End - Capital One Software (Remote)

Position Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer, Back End at Capital One Software (Remote), you will be on the forefront of a major transformation. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support full-stack technical solutions.
• Share your passion for technology by mentoring peers and participating in both internal and external technology communities.
• Work with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala along with RDBMS, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS tools.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (internship experience does not apply)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
• 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
• 3+ years of experience with open source frameworks
• 2+ years of experience in Agile practices

Benefits & Perks

• Compensation: Remote (Regardless of Location) and Richmond, VA roles offer $144,200 - $164,600 annually for the Senior Software Engineer position. Additional performance based incentive compensation (including potential cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives) may apply.
